Farmers in Kundadam Region Harvest Cereal Crops

Farmers in Kundadam and surrounding areas are harvesting cereal crops like yellow sorghum and maize following the recent monsoons. These are now being sold to traders in markets.

Tirupur: In the Kundadam area, along with neighboring regions, farmers have extensively cultivated crops such as yellow sorghum, maize, and vine varieties during the recent monsoon season. Currently, they are in the process of harvesting these crops, which are then transported to various markets for sale to traders.

Amidst these activities, summer brings about intense heat, causing significant drying of bushes in the forests. This scenario leads to a severe shortage of fodder during these months, affecting livestock adversely. To combat this, farmers in the area have started to store necessary fodders like sorghum stems and vine varieties to ensure sufficient feed for their cattle during the fodder-deficit periods.
