Two Minors Sentenced to Three Years in Prison for 2013 Murder of 16-Year-Old in Coimbatore

Two minors involved in the 2013 murder of a 16-year-old from Tirupur in Podanur, Coimbatore, were sentenced to three years each by the Coimbatore Fourth Court on May 28.


Coimbatore: In a case that dates back to October 12, 2013, two 16-year-old minors from Pothanur, Coimbatore, were found guilty of murdering and burning a peer from Tirupur.

Following the completion of the trial in the Fourth Court of Coimbatore, Judge Saravanababu delivered the verdict, sentencing each of the accused to three years in juvenile detention. The case has drawn significant attention due to the age of the perpetrators and the brutal nature of the crime.
