Coimbatore Student N.P. Harini Clinches Top Spot in National Yoga Championship

N.P. Harini, a student from Coimbatore, has won the first place at the Indian National Yoga Sports Championship 2024 held in Uttarakhand. Competing against over 800 participants, her achievement has brought pride to Tamil Nadu.


Coimbatore: In an inspiring display of skill and dedication, N.P. Harini, a student from R.J. School in Coimbatore, has secured the first place in the prestigious Indian National Yoga Sports Championship 2024, which took place in Uttarakhand. This national event saw participation from over 800 students from various states across India, with only two representatives from Tamil Nadu, including Harini.




Demonstrating exceptional prowess in her performance, Harini managed to outshine her peers and clinch the top spot. Upon her victorious return, she was warmly welcomed at the airport by her teachers, friends, and family, who celebrated her success with garlands, bouquets, and shawls.




Harini's parents, SVG Nivas and Priya, expressed their happiness and pride. They noted that their daughter had been diligently practicing yoga for the past two years, benefiting from consistent training and support. "Her hard work and dedication have finally paid off, and she has made both her family and Tamil Nadu proud," they remarked. Furthermore, Harini has participated in various competitions at the district, state, and national levels, earning accolades and awards at each turn.




Looking forward, her parents aspire for her to compete internationally, aiming to bring more laurels to the country.
