Police Vehicle Collides with Bike Near Mettupalayam, Two Injured

A police vehicle from Ooty collided with a motorcycle near Mettupalayam on July 8, resulting in two young men being seriously injured and the bike catching fire.


Coimbatore: A tragic accident occurred near Mettupalayam in Coimbatore district on July 8, when a police vehicle coming from Ooty collided with a motorcycle. The incident resulted in two young men sustaining serious injuries and the motorcycle catching fire.

The collision took place on the Mettupalayam-Ooty road, involving a police vehicle that was reportedly returning from duty in Ooty. The impact of the crash was severe enough to cause the motorcycle to catch fire, completely destroying the vehicle.



The two injured youths, who were riding the motorcycle at the time of the accident, were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency medical treatment. Their current condition remains unknown.
