New Entrance to Collector's Office Creates Traffic Chaos in Coimbatore

The newly opened entrance to the Coimbatore District Collector's Office has led to severe traffic congestion and safety concerns for the public on grievance day.

Coimbatore: The recently inaugurated entrance to the Coimbatore District Collector's Office has unexpectedly created a new set of problems for the public. The entrance, which became operational a few days ago, has led to severe traffic congestion and safety concerns, particularly on the weekly grievance day.

On Monday, which is designated as the grievance redressal day, a large number of people arrived at the Collector's Office to submit their petitions. With the new entrance now in use, the public has been directed to use this access point to enter the premises. However, the proximity of a bus stop to the new entrance has compounded the issue.

The combination of increased foot traffic and the existing bus stop has resulted in heavy traffic congestion in front of the Collector's Office. This gridlock has made it extremely difficult for pedestrians to cross the road safely, raising concerns about potential accidents.

Members of the public have expressed their worries about the situation. They fear that the current arrangement poses a significant risk of accidents and have called upon the government to take appropriate measures to prevent any untoward incidents.

The sudden influx of people on grievance days, coupled with regular bus services and other vehicular traffic, has created a chaotic situation that needs immediate attention. Citizens are urging the authorities to implement traffic management strategies and consider relocating the bus stop to alleviate the congestion and ensure public safety.
