Young Man's Body Found with Head Injuries Near Sulur, Police Suspect Alcohol-Related Dispute

Police are investigating the death of a 28-year-old man found with head injuries near Sulur, Coimbatore. They suspect he may have been killed in an alcohol-related dispute with friends.

Coimbatore: The body of a young man with head injuries was discovered in a forested area near Odakkalpalayam, Sulur, prompting a police investigation into a possible alcohol-related homicide.

Sultanpet police received information about a male body lying in a secluded area outside Odakkalpalayam village. Upon arriving at the scene, they identified the deceased as Paramasivam (28), son of Marappan, a resident of the same area.

Investigations revealed that Paramasivam, who previously worked at a poultry farm, had not been attending work for several months. Instead, he had been roaming the village with friends and habitually consuming alcohol in the forested areas on the outskirts of the town during nighttime.

Police sent Paramasivam's body to the ESI Hospital in Coimbatore for post-mortem examination. They are now exploring the possibility that Paramasivam might have been killed with a stone during an alcohol-fueled altercation with his friends.

The discovery of the young man's body with head injuries has caused a stir among the local residents. The Sultanpet police are continuing their investigation to uncover the circumstances surrounding Paramasivam's death and identify any potential suspects involved in the incident.
