Actor Prashanth Urges Support for Wayanad Landslide Victims at 'Andagan' Press Meet

Actor Prashanth, during a press conference for his upcoming film 'Andagan' in Coimbatore, appealed for assistance to those affected by landslides in Wayanad. The movie is set to release on August 9.


Coimbatore: Actor Prashanth, along with co-stars Simran and Priya Anand, met with journalists at a private hotel in the Race Course area of Coimbatore to promote their upcoming film 'Andagan', scheduled for release on August 9.

Prashanth described 'Andagan' as a music-centric film about a blind pianist, with intriguing mystery elements. He mentioned that the release date was set based on distributors' requests and emphasized that the movie would provide a 110% Tamil cinema experience.



The actor clarified that 'Andagan' is not a remake but a "remade" film. He announced that the movie would initially release in about 400 theaters, with the possibility of expanding to more screens later.

When questioned about the recent fine he received for not wearing a helmet, Prashanth explained that he had been conducting awareness programs about helmet usage for the past year. He noted that the incident of him being fined had gone viral, further highlighting the importance of wearing helmets.



During the press meet, Prashanth made a heartfelt appeal to the public, urging everyone to come forward and help those affected by the landslides in Wayanad. The actor's call for support underscores the severity of the situation in the Kerala district and the need for widespread assistance.

The press conference not only served as a platform to promote 'Andagan' but also allowed Prashanth to address current issues and use his celebrity status to raise awareness about both road safety and natural disasters.
