Coimbatore Collector Presents International Quality Certificate to Kaniyur Panchayat President for Best Panchayat

Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati presented an ISO certificate to Kaniyur Panchayat President Velusamy on August 5, 2024, recognizing it as the district's best and state's fourth-best panchayat in handling basic needs.


Coimbatore: In a ceremony held at the Coimbatore District Collector's office on August 5, 2024, District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati, IAS, presented an International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certificate to Kaniyur Panchayat President Velusamy. The certificate, awarded by the International Quality Certification Conference, recognizes Kaniyur Panchayat of Sulur Union as the best panchayat in the district and the fourth-best in the state for efficiently managing basic needs.

The event was attended by several officials, including Additional Collector (Development) Swetha Suman, IAS, Assistant Director (Panchayats) Saravanan, Kaniyur Panchayat Vice President Raju, and panchayat council members. Also present were Sulur Block Development Officers Muthuraju and Hemalatha, Zonal Deputy Block Development Officer Mangala Sakthiya, Panchayat Secretary Jagadeesan, and other staff members.



This recognition highlights the efforts of local self-government bodies in effectively addressing the fundamental requirements of their communities. The ISO certification serves as a testament to the quality of governance and service delivery in Kaniyur Panchayat, setting a benchmark for other panchayats in the district and state to emulate.
