Coimbatore: A touching reunion at a government-aided school in Coimbatore stirred emotions as former students, meeting after 19 years, paid homage to their teachers by falling at their feet. The event highlighted the lasting impact of educators on their students' lives.

The reunion took place at Thavathiru Santhalinga Adigalar Higher Secondary School, a government-aided institution in the Perur area of Coimbatore. This school has long been known for its inclusive education, where students from diverse economic backgrounds studied together without discrimination.

Over 100 former students, who had studied together from first to tenth grade, gathered from various districts across Tamil Nadu, many accompanied by their families. The atmosphere was charged with joy and nostalgia as men and women who hadn't seen each other for nearly two decades embraced, sharing stories and rekindling old friendships.

The highlight of the event was the honoring of their former teachers. In a gesture of deep respect and gratitude, the alumni invited their mentors to the reunion. They felicitated the teachers with garlands and shawls, and in a particularly moving moment, each former student prostrated at their teachers' feet, seeking blessings. This act of reverence brought tears to the eyes of the teachers, visibly touched by their students' enduring respect.

The reunion also saw former classmates sharing meals, serving each other food, and reveling in the joy of being together once again. The event served as a powerful reminder of the lasting bonds formed in school and the profound influence teachers have on shaping their students' character and future.
