DMDK Founder Vijayakanth's 72nd Birthday Celebrated in Udumalaipettai

DMDK members in Udumalaipettai celebrated party founder Vijayakanth's 72nd birthday with cake-cutting, flag hoisting, and food distribution to the public and underprivileged on August 25.



Coimbatore: The 72nd birthday of DMDK founder Padma Bhushan Vijayakanth was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the district office in Udumalaipettai on Friday. The event was inaugurated by Tiruppur South District Secretary T. Aruchamy, who cut the cake to mark the occasion.

The celebration was attended by several party officials, including District Chairman Lawyer Panneerselvam, Treasurer Annadurai, Executive Committee Member Kiri, and General Committee Member Periyasamy. As part of the festivities, party flags were hoisted and sweets were distributed in Udumalaipettai town, Udumalaipettai Union, and Kudimangalam area.



State General Committee Member Raja Karunakaran extended the celebration to the less fortunate by providing lunch at a home for orphaned children and the elderly in Udumalaipettai. Additionally, food packets were distributed to the general public at the Udumalaipettai bus stand. Kudimangalam Union in-charge Perumal, Deputy Secretary Muruganantham, and other union officials also participated in the food distribution.

The event was organized by Udumalaipettai City Secretary Ramachandran, City Treasurer Thendral Yusuf, Udumalaipettai Union in-charge Suresh, and Kudimangalam Union in-charge Perumal. The celebration saw active participation from various party members, including District Women's Wing Sharmila, Erisanampatti Marimuthu, and officials from union, city, town, and women's wings. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by City Chairman Rajendran and Ravi.
