The delegation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Google to establish "TamilNaduAILabs" at Guidance_TN in Chennai, marking a significant step towards technological advancement in the state.

The partnership with Google aims to skill 2 million youngsters in Artificial Intelligence through the Naan Mudhalvan program, collaborate with startups, and enable MSMEs and the rural economy. Minister Rajaa humorously referred to this initiative as "Chenn.ai," highlighting Chennai's potential to become an AI hub.

On the first day of the US visit, the Tamil Nadu delegation secured six MoUs across multiple high-impact sectors, attracting Rs. 900 crore in investments and creating over 4,000 high-quality jobs for the state. These agreements span various technological domains and regions within Tamil Nadu.

Nokia will establish a new world-class R&D center in Siruseri, while PayPal plans to expand its AI-ML-emerging-tech focused development centre in Chennai. Coimbatore is set to benefit from semiconductor innovation projects with Microchip and Yield Engineering Systems. Additionally, Madurai will see advanced AI tech development with Applied Materials and Infinx's tech centre.

Minister Rajaa emphasized that these global partnerships are driving Tamil Nadu towards becoming a trillion-dollar economy under the leadership of Chief Minister MK Stalin. He also hinted at more exciting developments in store for the state, following "very interesting meetings" during the visit.

The minister expressed enthusiasm about Tamil Nadu's future, stating that the state is "racing into a new era of tech R&D, semiconductors design and AI." These collaborations and investments are expected to significantly boost the state's technological capabilities and economic growth in the coming years.
