Ward 27 Councilor Inspects Cleanliness Drive and Waste Collection in Peelamedu, Coimbatore

Coimbatore: Ward 27 Councilor Ambika Dhanapal conducted an inspection of ongoing cleanliness drives and waste collection efforts in Peelamedu area on September 4. The inspection covered two key locations within the ward.



In the Sai Baba Temple area of Sirung Car Nagar, Peelamedu, the councilor observed the cleaning of roadside vegetation. Dhanapal instructed the sanitation workers to ensure thorough cleaning of all plants and shrubs along the roadside.



Following this, the councilor visited NGR Street and ESI Compound area to check the daily operation of the battery-operated auto collecting garbage. During this inspection, Dhanapal interacted with local residents, urging them to segregate their waste into biodegradable and non-biodegradable categories before handing it over to the collection vehicle.

These inspections are part of the Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation's efforts to maintain cleanliness and promote proper waste management practices across the city. The active involvement of ward councilors in such initiatives aims to ensure effective implementation of sanitation measures at the grassroots level.
