MP A. Raja Inaugurates Green Park and School Facilities in Mettupalayam

Nilgiris MP A. Raja inaugurated a new green park in Mettupalayam's Ward 30 and school facilities in Ward 29 on September 4. The projects, funded under various schemes, aim to enhance public spaces and educational infrastructure.


Coimbatore: Nilgiris MP A. Raja inaugurated a new green park and school facilities in Mettupalayam on September 4, marking significant improvements in public infrastructure and educational amenities in the area.



The green park, located in Ward 30 of Shanti Nagar, Mettupalayam Municipality, was constructed at a cost of Rs 38 lakh under the Kalaignar Urban Development Fund. This new public space is expected to benefit the local residents and enhance the area's green cover.

In a separate event on the same day, MP Raja inaugurated new facilities at the Mani Nagar Higher Secondary School in Ward 29 of Mettupalayam Municipality. The additions include a new science laboratory, toilet facilities, and a compound wall, built at a cost of Rs 53 lakh. These improvements are aimed at enhancing the learning environment for students.



Both events were attended by prominent local officials and party members. Notable attendees included Coimbatore North District Secretary Tho. A. Ravi, Mettupalayam Municipal Chairperson Mehriba Parveen, Vice Chairperson Arulvadivu, former MLA Arunkumar, and executive committee members T.R. Shanmugasundaram, A. Ashraf Ali, and T.P. Subramanian. Other participants included Karamadai Union Secretaries Kalyanasundaram and Surendran, Mettupalayam Town Secretary Munusamy, Mohammed Yunus, Mettupalayam Municipal Council members, municipal officers, and DMK party executives and members.

These inaugurations represent significant steps in improving both public spaces and educational facilities in Mettupalayam, reflecting ongoing efforts to enhance urban infrastructure and educational resources in the region.
