Coimbatore Government School Teacher Donates Award Money for School Development

Sivakumar, a mathematics teacher at Lingapuram Panchayat Union Middle School, donates his Dr. Radhakrishnan Award prize money of Rs. 10,000 for school development.


Coimbatore: In a commendable act of generosity, Sivakumar, a mathematics graduate teacher at the Lingapuram Panchayat Union Middle School near Sirumugai, has announced that he will donate the prize money received from the Dr. Radhakrishnan Award to support the development of his school.

Sivakumar was selected for the prestigious Dr. Radhakrishnan Award by the Tamil Nadu government. On September 5, School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi honored him with the award and a silver medal at a ceremony held in Chennai.

The award comes with a cash prize of Rs. 10,000, which Sivakumar has decided to contribute entirely towards the betterment of his school. This selfless gesture highlights the teacher's commitment to education and the welfare of his students.

The Lingapuram Panchayat Union Middle School and the local community have expressed their appreciation for Sivakumar's dedication to improving the educational facilities for the students.
