Hindu Makkal Katchi pays tribute to V.O. Chidambaram at Coimbatore Central Prison

Hindu Makkal Katchi Tamil Nadu paid respects to V.O. Chidambaram's oil press and photograph at Coimbatore Central Prison on his birth anniversary, September 5th.


Coimbatore: The Hindu Makkal Katchi Tamil Nadu paid tribute to the legendary freedom fighter V.O. Chidambaram, popularly known as V.O.C., on his birth anniversary at the Coimbatore Central Prison on September 5th.

Arjun Sampath, the State Founder President of Hindu Makkal Katchi Tamil Nadu, garlanded the oil press that V.O.C. had operated during his imprisonment, as well as his photograph, which are preserved within the prison premises. The oil press stands as a poignant reminder of V.O.C.'s forced labor during his incarceration by the British colonial government.

The event saw the participation of several party members, including State Secretary Sankar, Coimbatore District President Manikam Subramaniam, and Murugan, among others.
