DMK members pay tribute to Karunanidhi statue in Coimbatore

Coimbatore: Members of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) paid homage to former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi by garlanding his statue in Kaniyur, Coimbatore on September 5. The tribute was led by Parthiban, the Vettaikaran Pudur Panchayat Secretary.

The event saw participation from several DMK functionaries, including Nishant, the Deputy Organizer of the DMK Coimbatore South District Youth Wing. Other notable attendees were Ravindran, the Deputy Secretary of the Panchayat, and Balu, the District Representative.

The statue of Karunanidhi, which stands as a symbol of his enduring legacy in Tamil Nadu politics, was adorned with garlands as party members paid their respects. This gesture underscores the continued reverence for Karunanidhi within the DMK ranks, even years after his passing.
