Vinayagar Chaturthi Celebrated at Union Minister L Murugan's Camp Office in Mettupalayam

Vinayagar Chaturthi was celebrated at Union Minister L Murugan's camp office in Ponvizha Nagar, Mettupalayam. A seven-foot Vinayagar idol was installed, and rituals were performed with BJP officials participating.


Coimbatore: Vinayagar Chaturthi celebrations were held at the camp office of Union Minister of State L Murugan in Ponvizha Nagar, Mettupalayam, Coimbatore district. The festivities began with the installation of a seven-foot Vinayagar idol at the office premises.

The celebration commenced with a pre-dawn Ganapati Homam ritual. Following this, the installed Vinayagar idol was adorned and decorated. Devotees offered kozhukattai, a traditional sweet dumpling known to be Lord Ganesha's favorite, as part of the worship.

The event was presided over by Nandakumar, the BJP's Nilgiris Parliamentary in-charge. Other notable BJP officials who participated in the celebration included Vignesh, the Deputy of Coimbatore North District BJP, former Municipality Chairman Satish, and Saaminathan, the BJP's Sirumugai Town President.

The Vinayagar Chaturthi celebration at the Union Minister's camp office saw active participation from key BJP functionaries and local party members, highlighting the significance of the festival in the region's political and cultural landscape.
