Video of Private Bus Drivers Obstructing Government Bus Goes Viral in Dharapuram

A video showing private bus drivers causing chaos by not allowing a government bus to pass at Dharapuram bus stand in Tiruppur district has gone viral on social media platforms.

Coimbatore: A video capturing private bus drivers obstructing a government bus at the Dharapuram bus stand in Tiruppur district has gone viral on social media platforms, sparking outrage among netizens.

The incident occurred when a Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) bus arrived at the Dharapuram bus stand, intending to depart for Karur. Private bus drivers, operating on the same route, allegedly blocked the government bus from leaving the stand, causing chaos and disruption.

According to the viral video, two private buses were involved in the incident. One bus, identified as "Meenakshi" with registration number TN 47 V 2005, operating on the Dharapuram to Karur route, was seen obstructing the government bus. Another private bus, with registration number TN 47 AF 9559 and named "Kandan," was also reportedly involved in the incident, supporting the first private bus in blocking the TNSTC vehicle.

The video footage shows the private bus drivers deliberately positioning their vehicles to prevent the government bus from moving, causing inconvenience to passengers and disrupting the normal bus operations at the stand.

The incident has drawn criticism from the public, with many expressing their disappointment over the behavior of the private bus operators. Commuters at the bus stand were visibly upset by the chaotic scene, which disrupted the travel plans of many passengers heading to various destinations.

As the video continues to circulate on social media platforms, there are growing calls for action against the private bus operators involved in the incident. Many netizens have urged the authorities to take strict measures to prevent such incidents in the future and ensure smooth operations of both government and private buses at the Dharapuram bus stand.

Local transport authorities are expected to investigate the matter and take appropriate action against those responsible for the disruption. The incident has also raised questions about the need for better regulation and coordination between government and private bus services to avoid such conflicts in the future.
