Hindu Munnani Celebrates First Annual Vinayagar Chaturthi Festival in Dharapuram

Hindu Munnani organized its first annual Vinayagar Chaturthi festival and immersion procession in Dharapuram, Tirupur district. The event featured idol installations, special pujas, and a grand procession through the city.


Tirupur: The Hindu Munnani organization celebrated its first annual Vinayagar Chaturthi festival and immersion procession in Dharapuram city and union area of Tirupur district.



The festivities began with the installation of a 5-foot-tall Vinayagar idol at the Hindu Munnani office in Dharapuram, representing the southern district of Tirupur.



The celebration expanded to the union area, where two more Vinayagar idols were installed in the Thalavai Pattinam region. Hindu Munnani officials conducted special prayers and rituals for all three idols, including Ganapati Homa Puja and other significant pujas.

N. Gomathi, the district president of Hindu Munnani for Tiruppur South, led the proceedings.



The state president of Hindu Munnani, Gopinath, inaugurated the procession by waving a flag near Udumalaipet roundabout, marking the commencement of the first annual Vinayagar Chaturthi celebrations.



The procession, which began around 4 PM, saw the three idols being carried through the main streets of the city. After the final pujas, the idols were immersed in the Amaravati River, concluding the festival.



The event was organized under the supervision of G. Karthik, the general secretary of Hindu Munnani. Numerous district-level officials and members of the Hindu Munnani participated in the celebrations, making it a significant gathering for the organization in the region.
