Tirupur: In a significant drug bust, the Prohibition Enforcement Wing of Dharapuram police station arrested a 34-year-old man from Odisha for selling cannabis chocolate in Madathukulam area of Tirupur district. The arrest came after the police received a tip-off about cannabis distribution in the locality.

Acting on the information, a team led by Police Inspector Shanthi conducted a thorough search operation in the Madathukulam area. During the inspection at Sengalani Puthur bus stop, the police apprehended Basudeb Pal, a 34-year-old youth from a northern state, who was found carrying cannabis chocolate in his bag.
