Minister Muthuswamy: CM's US Visit Attracts ₹4,000 Crore Investment, Creates 5,000 Direct Jobs

Housing Minister Muthuswamy participated in a loan distribution camp for women's self-help groups in Coimbatore, announcing that CM Stalin's US visit has attracted ₹4,000 crore investment and created 5,000 direct jobs.


Coimbatore: Housing Minister Muthuswamy participated in a loan distribution camp for women's self-help groups held at a private college in New India area, Coimbatore.



During the event, he distributed loans worth ₹96.47 crore to 1,727 women's self-help groups in Coimbatore district. The minister also presented appreciation certificates to bank officials who provided substantial loans to women's groups.



Speaking at the event, Minister Muthuswamy expressed his gratitude to the Collector and other officials for efficiently coordinating the loan distribution. He emphasized that women are now determining their own future through these self-help groups. "The self-help group scheme, initiated by Kalaignar, has been further enhanced by the current Chief Minister through various programs for women," he stated.

Muthuswamy highlighted Chief Minister Stalin's special focus on self-help groups, mentioning that the CM regularly inquires about the groups' status and functioning during review meetings. He urged women to make full use of these opportunities, given the Chief Minister's keen interest in their progress.

The minister also shared updates on Chief Minister Stalin's ongoing US visit. "So far, agreements worth ₹4,000 crore have been signed with 11 companies for investments in Tamil Nadu. This is expected to create more than 5,000 direct job opportunities," he announced. Muthuswamy added that people from other states view Tamil Nadu's schemes as significant initiatives.

This loan distribution camp in Coimbatore was part of a larger event launched by Sports Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin in Madurai, where a total of ₹2,735 crore in loans were distributed to women's groups across Tamil Nadu.
