Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu government has invited tenders for the construction of Kalaignar Library and Science Center in Coimbatore. According to the government announcement, interested firms can submit their applications by 3 PM on October 16.

The library is expected to be located near the upcoming Semmozhi Poonga complex in the Gandhipuram area of Coimbatore. This strategic location aims to create an educational and cultural hub in the heart of the city.

It has been reported that the Coimbatore district administration will oversee the land acquisition process for the library. The construction work will be carried out by the Public Works Department of the Tamil Nadu government, ensuring adherence to state standards and regulations.

Once the library construction is completed, it is anticipated that the Coimbatore Municipal Corporation will take over the maintenance responsibilities. This arrangement is expected to ensure proper upkeep and management of the facility for the benefit of Coimbatore residents.

The Kalaignar Library project is seen as a significant addition to Coimbatore's educational infrastructure, potentially boosting the city's cultural and intellectual landscape.
