Coimbatore: The School Education Department has issued a revised transfer order, appointing a new District Education Officer (Secondary) for Coimbatore. This announcement comes as an amendment to the previous transfer orders released on August 20th for various district education officers across the state.

According to the latest notification, T. Gomathi, who was serving as the District Education Officer (Elementary) of Nilgiris district, has been appointed as the new District Education Officer (Secondary) for Coimbatore district.

It is noteworthy that in the initial transfer order, Gomathi was slated to be transferred as the District Education Officer (Elementary) for Tiruppur district. However, this decision has now been revised in the latest announcement.

The School Education Department's decision to amend the transfer orders highlights the department's efforts to optimize the placement of education officers across districts. This change is expected to bring fresh perspectives and experiences to Coimbatore's education system at the secondary level.

As Gomathi takes charge of her new role in Coimbatore, stakeholders in the education sector will be keenly watching how her expertise and leadership will contribute to the development of secondary education in the district.
