Seventh Annual Selva Vinayagar Chaturthi Celebration in J.J. Nagar, Edayarpalayam, Coimbatore

Coimbatore: The seventh annual Sri Selva Vinayagar Chaturthi celebration was held with great fanfare in J.J. Nagar, Nehru Street, Edayarpalayam, Coimbatore district. Residents and children of the area came together to commemorate this auspicious occasion with various events and activities.

A special puja was performed for Sri Selva Vinayagar, who was installed on Nehru Street. Devotees gathered to offer prayers and seek blessings from the deity. Following the religious rituals, a series of games and competitions were organized for children, adding a festive atmosphere to the celebration.

The highlight of the event was a unique costume competition where over 50 children dressed up as Lord Ganesha. As the culmination of the seventh annual Vinayagar Chaturthi celebrations, a procession was taken out with the Vinayagar idol. The procession wound its way through the local streets, with devotees accompanying the deity with great devotion. The festivities concluded with the immersion of the Vinayagar idol in a nearby water body, marking the end of this year's celebration.
