Free Bicycles Distributed to Students and Infrastructure Development in Thondamuthur

Pollachi MP K. Eswaran and DMK North District Secretary Thondamuthur Ravi distributed free bicycles to students in Thondamuthur on September 11. They also initiated road development projects worth Rs. 1.55 crore in various wards.


Coimbatore: In a significant move to support education and improve local infrastructure, free bicycles were distributed to students in Thondamuthur on Monday, September 11.



The event took place at the Government Boys Higher Secondary School in Thondamuthur Municipality and the Government Higher Secondary School in Maruthuvaaraayapuram village of Thondamuthur Union.

The distribution ceremony was led by the esteemed Pollachi Member of Parliament, K. Eswaran, along with Thondamuthur Ravi, the DMK North District Secretary for Coimbatore. This initiative is part of the government's ongoing efforts to promote education and ease transportation for students in rural areas.



On the same day, a series of developmental projects were inaugurated in the Thondamuthur Assembly Constituency, which falls under the Coimbatore North District.



The projects began with a groundbreaking ceremony (Bhoomi Pooja) for road improvement works in Thaliyur Town Panchayat area.



The road development project, estimated at Rs. 1.55 crore, will cover various wards including Ward No. 02 and 01, Ward 10 and 03, Ward 06 and 15, and Ward 09.



MP K. Eswaran and DMK North District Secretary Thondamuthur Ravi jointly initiated the Bhoomi Pooja for these road works. The ceremony was attended by local body representatives and DMK party executives, marking a collaborative effort towards enhancing the region's infrastructure.

These initiatives reflect the government's commitment to both educational support and infrastructural development in the Thondamuthur region, aiming to improve the quality of life for local residents and create better opportunities for students.
