Special Train from Chennai to Kochuveli via Podanur Route

A one-way special train will run from Chennai Egmore to Kochuveli in Kerala via Podanur on September 13. The train will cover major stations in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, arriving at Kochuveli the next morning.


Coimbatore: The Salem Railway Division has announced the operation of a one-way special train from Chennai Egmore to Kochuveli in Kerala, passing through Podanur in Coimbatore.

According to the official statement released by the Salem Railway Division, the Chennai Egmore - Kochuveli special train (No. 06160) will depart from Chennai Egmore on Friday, September 13, at 3:15 PM. The train is scheduled to reach Kochuveli railway station the next day at 8:30 AM.

The special train will make stops at several key stations along its route. These include Perambur, Tiruvallur, Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Podanur, Palakkad, Thrissur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Changanassery, Tiruvalla, Chengannur, Mavelikara, Kayamkulam, and Kollam.

This special train service is expected to benefit passengers traveling between Tamil Nadu and Kerala, providing a convenient transportation option for those journeying to Kochuveli and intermediate stations.
