Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu Industries Minister TRB Rajaa today inaugurated Yield Engineering Systems' (YES) small volume facility in Coimbatore, marking a significant step in the state's industrial growth, particularly in the semiconductor sector.

The new facility, part of YES's Phase 1 plans in Tamil Nadu, will focus on new product development for semiconductor equipment. This inauguration comes following an MoU signed during a recent investment promotion visit to the US, witnessed by Chief Minister M K Stalin.

The Industries Minister expressed satisfaction with the smooth entry facilitated by Guidance Tamil Nadu for YES. He emphasized that the company's long-term vision aligns perfectly with Tamil Nadu's strategy of becoming a high-tech hub and a semiconductor manufacturing powerhouse.

Sharing the stage with Krishnan IAS, Secretary of MEITY, and top management of YES, the Minister highlighted the significance of this development for Coimbatore and the state at large.

The Minister stated, "This is just the beginning of their journey in Tamil Nadu, and we are confident that as they grow, Coimbatore will rise with them, becoming a global leader in the semiconductor ecosystem."

He further added that under the leadership of Chief Minister M K Stalin, a world-class semiconductor ecosystem is destined for Coimbatore. The government expects this development to create more high-end jobs for talent from Coimbatore's world-class educational institutions.
