Corporation Commissioner Inspects Kavundampalayam Children's Center

Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner M Sivaguru Prabakaran IAS inspected the Kavundampalayam Children's Center and stormwater drain renovation in TVS Nagar on September 18, 2024, as part of the 'Ungalai Thedi Ungal Ooril' special scheme.


Coimbatore: Corporation Commissioner M Sivaguru Prabakaran IAS conducted an inspection of the Kavundampalayam Children's Center in Ward 17 of the West Zone, Coimbatore Corporation, on September 18, 2024. The visit was part of the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's special scheme "Ungalai Thedi Ungal Ooril" (Seeking You in Your Town).

During his visit, the Commissioner personally observed the facilities at the children's center and tasted the midday meal provided to the children. He assessed the quality of food and the overall functioning of the center.



Following the inspection of the children's center, Commissioner Prabhakaran proceeded to TVS Nagar in Kavundampalayam to review the ongoing stormwater drain renovation work. This project, also falling under Ward 17 of the West Zone, is another initiative under the "Ungalai Thedi Ungal Ooril" scheme.

The Commissioner was accompanied by a team of officials including West Zone Committee Chairperson Mrs. Deivayani Tamilmarai, Deputy Collector (Training) Ms. Madhu Abinaya IAS, and Council Members Mr. Krishnamoorthy, Mrs. Subasree, and Mr. Sampath. Other officials present were Assistant Engineer Mrs. Savitha, Zonal Health Officer Mr. Veeran, Assistant Town Planner Mrs. Kanthimathi, Assistant Engineers Mr. Rajeswaran Venugopal and Mr. Hariprasad, and Health Inspector Mr. Chandrasekar, along with other corporation officials.
