Tamil Puligal Party Invites DMK Secretary Tho. Ravi for Chief Minister's Thanksgiving Conference

Tamil Puligal Party leaders met DMK North District Secretary Thondamuthur Ravi on September 20, inviting him to a thanksgiving conference for Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, scheduled for September 30 in Coimbatore.

Coimbatore: The Tamil Puligal Party is set to organize a thanksgiving conference for Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, acknowledging his legal battle that led to the Supreme Court's approval of 3% internal reservation for Arunthathiyar community. The event is scheduled to take place on September 30 at the R.S. Puram Kalai Arangam in Coimbatore.

In a gesture of political courtesy, leaders of the Tamil Puligal Party, including its president Nagai Thiruvalluvan, visited the DMK office today (September 20) to personally invite DMK North District Secretary Thondamuthur Ravi to the conference. They presented him with an official invitation for the event.

The 3% internal reservation for the Arunthathiyar community was initially announced by the late DMK leader and former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi, fondly known as "Kalaignar". The current Chief Minister, M.K. Stalin, pursued legal action to ensure the implementation of this reservation policy, which was ultimately upheld by the Supreme Court.

This thanksgiving conference is seen as a significant event in Coimbatore's political landscape, bringing together various political entities to acknowledge the efforts made for the welfare of the Arunthathiyar community. The choice of Coimbatore as the venue underscores the city's importance in Tamil Nadu's political and social fabric.
