Congress files complaint against BJP leaders in Udumalpet

Congress party members in Udumalpet filed a police complaint against BJP leaders for their remarks on Rahul Gandhi's comments about Indian electoral process during his US visit.

Tirupur: The Udumalpet town Congress party has filed a complaint with the local police station against several BJP leaders for their controversial statements about Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition in the Parliament.

The complaint stems from recent comments made by BJP leaders in response to Rahul Gandhi's remarks about the Indian electoral process during his visit to the United States. The BJP leaders named in the complaint include Darvinder Singh Marwa, Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) leader Sanjay Gaikwad, Uttar Pradesh state minister Raghuraj Singh, Union Minister of State Rawneet Bittu, and H. Raja from Tamil Nadu.

According to the complaint, these BJP leaders allegedly misrepresented Rahul Gandhi's statements and spoke in a manner that could potentially incite unrest between the BJP and Congress parties. The Congress members accused the BJP leaders of making statements that could disturb public peace.

The complainants have requested appropriate action to be taken against the BJP leaders for their remarks. The complaint was submitted by a delegation of local Congress leaders, including district deputy leader Muthukumar, Kittusamy, 4th ward member of Udumalpet town council Kalaivani, S. Murugan, advocate Vetrivelkumar, and Pon Balaraman.

The incident highlights the ongoing political tensions between the two major national parties and underscores the sensitivity surrounding comments made by political leaders about India's democratic processes, especially when discussed on international platforms.
