Mayor Inspects Construction of Additional Classrooms and 24-Hour Water Supply Project in Coimbatore

Mayor Ranganaayaki inspected the construction of additional classrooms at Vadavalli Maruthapuram Corporation Primary School and reviewed the 24-hour water supply project in Kalveerampalayam, Kongu Nagar on September 23.


Coimbatore: Mayor Ranganaayaki conducted an inspection of ongoing construction works and water supply projects in the western zone of Coimbatore on Saturday, September 23.

The Mayor first visited the Vadavalli Maruthapuram Corporation Primary School in Ward 37 of the western zone. She inspected the construction of additional classrooms, which is being carried out at an estimated cost of Rs. 62 lakhs. The project aims to enhance the educational infrastructure of the school.



Following this, Mayor Ranganaayaki proceeded to Kalveerampalayam, Kongu Nagar, also in Ward 37 of the western zone. Here, she reviewed the progress of the 24-hour water supply project. During her inspection, the Mayor instructed the concerned officials to prepare a proper estimate for constructing a ground-level platform for the water tank in the area.



The Mayor emphasized the importance of timely completion of these projects to improve educational facilities and ensure uninterrupted water supply to the residents. She also interacted with local officials to understand the challenges and requirements of the ongoing works.



Accompanying the Mayor during the inspection were Western Zone Chairperson Mrs. Deivayani Tamilmarai, Council Member Mrs. Kumudam, Assistant Commissioner Mrs. Santhiya, Assistant Executive Engineer Mrs. Savitha, Assistant Town Planner Mrs. Kanthimathi, Assistant Engineer Mrs. Vimala, Zonal Health Officer Mr. Veeran, and other corporation officials.
