Mayor Ranganaayaki Chairs Public Grievance Redressal Meeting at Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation

Coimbatore Mayor Ranganaayaki presided over a public grievance redressal meeting at the City Municipal Corporation on September 24, 2024. 74 petitions were received from citizens across all zones, addressing various civic issues.


Coimbatore: The Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation held its public grievance redressal day meeting on September 24, 2024, at the main office. The meeting was chaired by Mayor Ranganaayaki in the presence of Corporation Commissioner M. Sivaguru Prabakaran IAS.

During the meeting, 74 petitions were submitted by citizens from all parts of the corporation area. The petitions covered a wide range of issues including requests for birth and death certificates, road facilities, street lighting, drinking water supply, underground drainage, professional tax, property tax, vacant land tax, new water connections, name changes, and various concerns related to healthcare, sanitation, and education.



The breakdown of petitions received from different zones was as follows: 7 from the East zone, 12 from the West zone, 11 from the North zone, 8 from the South zone, 18 from the Central zone, and 18 from the main office, totaling 74 petitions.

Mayor Ranganaayaki, upon receiving these petitions, instructed the concerned Zonal Assistant Commissioners, Engineers, and officials to take immediate appropriate action on the requests.



The meeting was attended by key corporation officials including Deputy Commissioner K. Sivakumar, City Health Officer Dr. K. Boopathi, Town Planning Officer Kumar, and Assistant Commissioners Senthilkumaran (Central), Muthusami (East), T.S. Duraimurugan (West), Sridevi (North), and Ilangovan (South, in-charge). Other attendees included Mahesh Kanagaraj (Revenue), Mohanasundari (Administration), Assistant Executive Engineers, Zonal Health Officers, Engineers, Sanitary Inspectors, all corporation officers, and members of the public.
