Mayor Ranganayaki Inaugurates ₹33.50 Lakh Children's Welfare Center in Coimbatore's Eco Colony

Mayor Ranganayaki Ramachandran inaugurated a modern children's welfare center with learning facilities in Coimbatore's Eco Colony. The ₹33.50 lakh project was built under the Namakku Naame scheme with private sector participation.


Coimbatore: Mayor Ranganayaki Ramachandran inaugurated a state-of-the-art children's welfare center with learning facilities in Eco Colony, Peelamedu, on Wednesday. The center, built at a cost of ₹33.50 lakh under the Namakku Naame scheme, was funded through private sector participation by Coimbatore Velmurugan Enterprises Pvt. Ltd.

The modern facility, located in Ward 52 of the Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation's East Zone, aims to provide a conducive environment for children's growth and education. Mayor Ranganayaki Ramachandran lit the ceremonial lamp and officially opened the center, followed by an inspection of the premises.



The inauguration ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including former MLA N. Karthik, Zonal Chairperson Ilakumi Ilanchelvi Karthik, and Assistant Commissioner Muthusamy. Also present were Assistant Engineer Rajesh Kanna, Velmurugan Enterprises General Manager Velumani, and WOW EDUCARE founder Ruban.



The event saw participation from various officials and representatives of the organizations involved in the project. Directors Chandrasekar and Kamakshi Jayaram, along with Managing Director Sam Nicholas of WOW EDUCARE, were also in attendance. Assistant Engineers Jagadeeswari and Kalyanasundaram, along with other corporation officials, were present to mark the occasion.



This initiative under the Namakku Naame scheme exemplifies the successful collaboration between the municipal corporation and private entities in creating valuable infrastructure for the community. The new children's welfare center is expected to play a crucial role in nurturing the young minds of Coimbatore's Eco Colony area.
