Six BJP Members Arrested for Obstructing Traffic and Verbally Abusing Government Employees in Valparai

Six BJP members were arrested in Valparai for parking their vehicle obstructing traffic and verbally abusing government employees. The incident occurred near Subramani Temple on the road leading to Akkammalai Estate.



Coimbatore: In a concerning incident that unfolded in Valparai, six members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) were arrested for obstructing traffic and verbally abusing government employees. The event took place on the evening of yesterday around 7 PM near the Subramani Temple on the road leading to Akkammalai Estate.

According to reports, a group of BJP members from Tiruppur arrived in a Mahindra vehicle and parked it on the road, causing an obstruction. This led to a traffic jam that lasted for about 20 minutes, affecting a bus traveling from Vellamalai Estate to Valparai, driven by Saravanan.



When the car owners returned after 20 minutes to move their vehicle, they were allegedly under the influence of alcohol. The situation escalated as they began using abusive language towards the bus driver and conductor. Upon receiving information about the disturbance, the Valparai police arrived at the scene to pacify the arguing parties.

However, the accused reportedly continued their verbal assault, directing inappropriate and offensive language at the government bus driver, conductor, public, and other government employees. Based on a complaint filed by the bus driver Saravanan, six individuals were arrested:



1. Muralidharan (35), BJP Mandal General Secretary, Tiruppur

2. Duraimurugan (36), BJP Kongu Mandal City Youth Wing President, Tiruppur

3. Venkatesh (25), BJP Kongu Mandal Youth Wing Vice President, Tiruppur

4. Arun (30), BJP Mandal Youth Wing Secretary, Tiruppur

5. Godhandam (46), from Kodaikanal, Dindigul district

6. Sasikumar (42), BJP Mandal General Secretary, Tiruppur

The police have taken these six individuals into custody and are proceeding with legal action against them for their disruptive behavior and verbal abuse of government employees.
