Anbumani takes a dig at People’s Welfare Front

Pattali Makkal Katchi chief ministerial candidate Anbumani Ramadoss took a dig at the People’s Welfare Front (PWF) saying that they had changed their stand to accept Vijayakant as the coalition’s Chief Minister nominee.

Addressing reporters at the Coimbatore Airport on Tuesday, he said that the coalition’s earlier stand was that there would be no Chief Minister nominee. Just to accommodate the DMDK, the Front had accepted Mr. Vijayakant as its Chief Minister nominee.

On the common minimum programme, the Front leaders again changed their stand to say that DMDK’s manifesto was their common minimum programme. This clearly showed that all was not well within the coalition.

The Front had announced Mr. Vijayakant as its leader but soon after the announcement he was not be seen. The coalition leaders should explain his absence, he demanded.

The PMK believed that it did not need to forge a coalition, he said and added that the party would soon announce its candidates’ list.
