Vanathi Srinivasan Urges CM Stalin to Appoint SC Deputy Chief Minister

Coimbatore South MLA Vanathi Srinivasan has urged Chief Minister M.K. Stalin to appoint a Scheduled Caste Deputy Chief Minister to uphold social justice. She also criticized DMK's alliance practices in a Facebook post.

Coimbatore: Coimbatore South MLA Vanathi Srinivasan has urged Chief Minister M.K. Stalin to appoint a Deputy Chief Minister from the Scheduled Caste community to uphold social justice. The BJP leader made this statement in a post on her Facebook page.

Criticizing DMK's alliance practices, Vanathi Srinivasan said, "DMK, which fears contesting elections without alliances and cannot win without them, forms the government alone after winning with the help of alliance parties."

She pointed out that Scheduled Caste ministers lack prominence in the DMK government's cabinet. Vanathi Srinivasan noted that in the 34-member cabinet, ministers from Scheduled Castes were given the last positions.

Furthermore, she mentioned that DMK has won all six times it came to power by forming strong alliances. However, she alleged that the party did not share cabinet positions with its alliance partners.

"DMK, which hasn't dared to face elections without alliances so far, treats its alliance parties as insignificant after coming to power. It uses them like curry leaves during elections and discards them once it gains power," Vanathi Srinivasan harshly criticized.

Finally, supporting the demand of Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi leader Thirumavalavan for 'Share in governance and power', Vanathi Srinivasan emphasized the need for a change in DMK's alliance practices.
