Coimbatore City Police Commissioner Participates in Helmet Distribution Ceremony for Senior Citizens

Coimbatore City Police organized a ceremony to distribute 100 free helmets to senior citizens, emphasizing road safety. The event was held at the Armed Reserve grounds and Children's Traffic Park.



Coimbatore: In a move to ensure the safety of senior citizens, the Coimbatore City Police Department organized a ceremony to distribute 100 free helmets to elderly residents. The event took place today at the Armed Reserve grounds and Children's Traffic Park in Coimbatore.

The initiative, carried out under the guidance of the Coimbatore City Police Commissioner, was a joint effort by the Home Guards and the East Traffic Police Department.



Coimbatore City Police Commissioner Balakrishnan presided over the function and personally distributed the free helmets to senior citizens.



Deputy Commissioner of Coimbatore South, Saravanakumar, and Deputy Commissioner of Traffic, Ashokkumar, also participated in the event. The police officials strongly emphasized the importance of wearing helmets while riding two-wheelers to protect against potential accidents.

Senior citizens who attended the event expressed their appreciation for this initiative by the police department. This gesture highlights the police force's commitment to ensuring the safety of elderly citizens in the city. Such events undoubtedly contribute to creating a safer environment for all sections of society.

The ceremony not only provided essential safety gear to senior citizens but also served as a platform to raise awareness about road safety among the elderly population.
