AJK Group of Institutions Celebrates National Dolphin Day with VR Experience

AJK Group of Institutions in Coimbatore commemorated National Dolphin Day with a VR experience and conservation pledge, honoring Dr. R.S. Lal Mohan's legacy in dolphin studies.


Coimbatore: The AJK Group of Institutions in Coimbatore marked National Dolphin Day with a unique celebration, honoring the memory of Dr. R.S. Lal Mohan, a pioneer in dolphin studies and former Principal Scientist at CMFRI (ICAR), New Delhi. The event featured an innovative virtual reality (VR) experience for staff and students, providing an immersive insight into the world of dolphins.



Prof. Dr. Ajeet Kumar Lal Mohan, Vice Chancellor Convenor Committee Member at Bharathiar University and Secretary of AJK Group of Institutions, Coimbatore, graced the occasion with his presence. His participation underscored the significance of the event and the institution's commitment to environmental education.



As part of the celebration, the institution took a collective pledge to protect dolphins and raise awareness about their conservation. This initiative aims to instill a sense of responsibility towards marine life among the students and staff, carrying forward Dr. R.S. Lal Mohan's legacy of dolphin research and conservation.
