Coimbatore: Heavy rainfall lashed Kavundampalayam, Idayarpalayam, and surrounding areas in Coimbatore on Friday (October 11), catching many residents off guard. The day began with dark clouds and cool breezes, setting the stage for the unexpected downpour.

The sudden heavy rain caused significant difficulties for two-wheeler riders in particular. Many motorists were forced to seek shelter, parking their vehicles at various spots along the roads, waiting for the rain to subside.
