Coimbatore: In a brazen act of vandalism, a helmet-wearing man riding a two-wheeler hurled a stone at a parked car in the Avarampaalayam area of Coimbatore, causing significant damage to the vehicle's windshield. The incident, which occurred in broad daylight, was captured on nearby CCTV cameras, and the footage has since been released to the public.

The victim, Arunkumar, a resident of Avarampaalayam in Coimbatore city, had parked his car in front of his house as usual. On the day of the incident, an unidentified person arrived on a two-wheeler, wearing a helmet to conceal his identity. Without any apparent provocation, the miscreant threw a stone he was carrying at the car's windshield, shattering the glass before fleeing the scene.

The entire sequence of events was recorded by a CCTV camera installed in the vicinity. The footage clearly shows the perpetrator approaching the parked vehicle on his two-wheeler, hurling the stone with force, and then quickly escaping from the spot. The sudden attack has left Arunkumar shocked and concerned about the safety of his property.

Local residents have expressed alarm over the incident, questioning how such an act could occur in broad daylight without fear of consequences. The brazen nature of the attack has raised concerns about public safety and the growing trend of random vandalism in residential areas.

Arunkumar has reportedly filed a complaint with the local police, providing them with the CCTV footage as evidence. The police have launched an investigation into the matter and are examining the footage to identify the suspect. Authorities are also checking other CCTV cameras in the area to track the movement of the two-wheeler and establish the identity of the culprit.

The incident has sparked discussions among residents about the need for enhanced security measures in residential neighborhoods. Many are calling for increased police patrolling and the installation of more surveillance cameras to prevent such incidents in the future.

Police officials have assured that they are taking the matter seriously and will take appropriate action once the perpetrator is identified. They have appealed to anyone with information about the incident to come forward and assist in the investigation.
