Singai G Ramachandran Appointed TN Startup and Innovation Mission  Chairperson

The Tamil Nadu Government has appointed Coimbatore-based Singai G. Ramachandran as Chairperson of the Tamil Nadu Startup and Innovation Mission (TANSIM). The appointment was issued by the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Department through a Government Order dated September 1, 2026.

The Tamil Nadu Government has appointed Singai G. Ramachandran as the Chairperson of the Tamil Nadu Startup and Innovation Mission (TANSIM).

The appointment was notified through Government Order (G.O. (2D) No. 21) issued by the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Department on September 1, 2026.

According to the Government Order, the State Government has appointed Singai G. Ramachandran as Chairperson of TANSIM. The order was issued by PRADEEP YADAV, Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Department, by order of the Governor.

The Government Order states that the terms and conditions of Ramachandran's appointment as Chairperson of the Tamil Nadu Startup and Innovation Mission will be issued separately.

TANSIM is the State's mission focused on promoting the startup and innovation ecosystem in Tamil Nadu. The appointment places Ramachandran in a key position in an organisation working with startups and innovation-related initiatives in the State.

The Government Order also records that Ramachandran is based in Coimbatore. The document lists his residential address in Uppilipalayam, Coimbatore, and his official correspondence with TANSIM at the CMRL Building on Anna Salai, Nandanam, Chennai.

The latest order follows earlier government orders issued by the MSME Department, including G.O. (Ms.) No. 08 dated January 29, 2021, and G.O. (Rt.) No. 78 dated June 24, 2025, which are cited in the appointment order.

The appointment is effective through the government order dated September 1, 2026. The official document does not specify the tenure or detailed terms of the appointment, stating that these will be issued separately.
