Ooty's JSS tops list of pharma colleges in Tamil Nadu

The JSS College of Pharmacy in Ooty has topped the list of pharmacy colleges in Tamil Nadu and was ranked ninth at the national level by the National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF).

In a recent function held in New Delhi, the college received the award from union HRD minister Smriti Irani. A total of 454 pharmacy colleges, including 34 government and 419 private colleges, had applied for the ranking. "This is a special recognition to the college as the award is given by the Union HRD ministry," said principal of JSS College of Pharmacy, Dr S P Dhanpal. He further said, "The award recognises our infrastructure, human resources, research outcomes, placements and meritorious students. And we hope to move forward in ranking at national level in future."

Dr Arun KP, nodal officer of the college, received the award.
