Southern Railway will operate a one-way special train from Tambaram to Podanur Junction via Chennai Egmore, Katpadi, Jolarpettai and Salem on September 25 to meet the travel requirements of increasing passenger numbers. Advance Reservations will commence at 08.00 hrs on 24.09.2026.
Coimbatore: To meet the travel requirements of increasing passenger numbers, Southern Railway will operate a one-way special train from Tambaram to Podanur Junction on September 25, Friday. The train will operate via Chennai Egmore, Katpadi, Jolarpettai and Salem.
Train No. 06025 Tambaram–Podanur One Way Special Train will depart from Tambaram at 11.00 pm on September 25 and reach Podanur Junction at 9.00 am on September 26. The train will comprise AC First Class-cum-AC 2-Tier, Sleeper Class, General Second Class and Luggage-cum-Brake Van coaches.
The train will depart from Tambaram at 11.00 pm and reach Chennai Egmore at 11.35 pm, departing at 11.40 pm. It will arrive at Perambur at 12.05 am and depart at 12.07 am, followed by Tiruvallur at 12.35 am and 12.37 am, and Arakkonam at 12.53 am and 12.55 am.
The train will reach Katpadi at 1.40 am and depart at 1.42 am, followed by Jolarpettai at 3.20 am and 3.25 am. It will arrive at Salem at 5.00 am and depart at 5.03 am, Erode at 6.05 am and depart at 6.15 am, and Tiruppur at 6.58 am and depart at 7.00 am. The train will reach its final destination, Podanur Junction, at 9.00 am on September 26.
The special train has been announced by the Salem Division of Southern Railway to accommodate the increasing number of passengers.

The train will depart from Tambaram at 11.00 pm and reach Chennai Egmore at 11.35 pm, departing at 11.40 pm. It will arrive at Perambur at 12.05 am and depart at 12.07 am, followed by Tiruvallur at 12.35 am and 12.37 am, and Arakkonam at 12.53 am and 12.55 am.
The train will reach Katpadi at 1.40 am and depart at 1.42 am, followed by Jolarpettai at 3.20 am and 3.25 am. It will arrive at Salem at 5.00 am and depart at 5.03 am, Erode at 6.05 am and depart at 6.15 am, and Tiruppur at 6.58 am and depart at 7.00 am. The train will reach its final destination, Podanur Junction, at 9.00 am on September 26.
The special train has been announced by the Salem Division of Southern Railway to accommodate the increasing number of passengers.
