Stalin promises garment research centre

DMK treasurer MK Stalin has announced that a garment research centre would be set up in Tirupur if DMK comes to power in the coming assembly elections.

Stalin was campaigning for the DMK candidates in Madathukulam, Udumalpet, Palladam, Avinashi, Tirupur North and Tirupur South assembly constituencies on Sunday. He promised the voters that the long pending scheme Athikadavu -Avinashi project would be completed by the DMK and an exclusive textile market for handlooms would be setup at Palladam in Tirupur district.
