Tooth ache drives woman to commit suicide

Unable to bear her acute tooth pain, a 36-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging herself at home.

Chitra, the deceased, was suffering from acute tooth ache for the last few months and was getting treatment at a private hospital. Police say that, unable to bear the shooting pain, she committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling of her house in Kannappan Nagar, early in the morning today.

In another incident, 30-year-old Yashoda, wife of a daily wage worker, had been suffering from thyroid-related issues for some time and was staying with her parents. When they returned home, her parents found her hanging dead in their house in Ratnapuri, last evening. She was alone at home.

Both the bodies were sent to the Government Hospital for post mortem examinations, and further investigations are on.
