Toddler falls to death from 2nd floor of house

 A one-and-a-half-year-old boy, who fell from the second floor of a house on TK Street in RS Puram two days back, died without responding to the treatment at a private hospital on Saturday.

The deceased was identified as N Hrithik. His father is a goldsmith. Police said the toddler was playing at his house on the second floor of a building when he accidently fell to the ground from the second floor of the house on Friday night. His mother was in the kitchen cooking and could not keep an eye on the child. The boy sustained severe head injuries and was rushed to a private hospital here, where he died without responding to treatment.

The body was taken to Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) for postmortem. Police have registered a case.
