Awesome news for awesome ladies of Coimbatore. City Municipal Corporation has opened The Nehru Park at Sungam exclusively for the women. The park was built a year ago at a cost of Rs.65 lakhs and is functional from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm.
A lot of ladies have thronged to this park for daily walks and exercise . They have applauded this initiative from the city municipal corporation as they state that they feel very safe as they can stroll freely without any hassles and problems.
The ladies visiting this park have a requested the ward councillor Leelavathi Unni for opening a gym in the park as it will be very useful to the ladies. And the councillor will very soon appoint a gym trainer for the ladies in the park.
