Woman murdered at her residence in Tirupur

A special team has been formed to investigate the murder of the 37-year old woman in Nagamarathottam behind Tirupur new Bus Stand. She was found dead at her residence.

The deceased has been identified as P Priyanka Raj and she has been working as a sales executive in a car showroom in Kangeyam Road. Her husband Paulraj, 38, was working as an LIC agent and their son was studying the first year BE in a private engineering college in Coimbatore.

The murder happened when Priyanka was alone at her residence and Paulraj had gone to Theni to attend a marriage. Since she couldn’t be reached over the phone for more than 3 hours, Paulraj had contacted their neighbours to check in on their home. The neighbours found her murdered and Paulraj immediately informed the Tiruppur North Police station who rushed to the spot and sent the body for post-mortem. Police have registered a case under Section 302 (murder) of the IPC.

This is another in the spate of murders happening in Coimbatore and Tirupur.
