A tweet made a change

A passenger on board tweeted to railways minister Suresh Prabhu regarding the non-availability of baby food at the railway station. This tweet indeed brought about a good change. Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu promised to set up baby food outlets at stations while presenting the railway budget.

The promise was not merely an eyewash but it was implemented in due course. Coimbatore railway station has set up a baby food corner in the vegetarian refreshment room in between platform 1 and 2. The outlet has formula feed, hot water and other feeding accessories.

Salem division has said that they have set up one stall each on a pilot basis on Salem, Coimbatore, Erode and Karur. They are planning to introduce feeding rooms too.
