Yet another Elephant death reported at the Narasipuram forest range

A female Elephant was found dead at the Vaidhegi Water fall area near the Narasipuram Forest range. Just a couple of days back, a male elephant was found dead at the Sirumugai forest range, whose autopsy report revealed that intestinal infection had caused the death.  

This latest death marks the fifth elephant to die around the district in about a month, the reason for the death is yet to be analysed, said forest officials. The series of elephant deaths has left the the forest officials and environmentalists dejected and mournful.
